Missions that just aren't worth it
I was wondering what missions people thought weren't worth the effort. Now, I'm not talking abot the effort of the player (because that's most of them), I'm talking about which missions wouldn't be worth the hero's time.
I would have to say the Kodonur Crossroads mission wouldn't be worth the risk to the hero. Surrendering to the Kournans and risking our lives just to cut off Kourna's glue supply? To me this doesn't seem like a necessary risk.
Any missions come to mind?

Don't you have to rescue some centaurs from certain death too? risk enough?

"The Wilds" in prophecies is pretty much pointless. I think it's smart not to follow people who know the jungle well into the jungle and try to attack them. Come on, now, no one should be that dumb.

not so sure about missions, but im sure luring away some bees in pre searing seems a bit on the light side compared to defeating gods.

Borlis Pass.
We could as well have stayed in Ascalon behind a big wall.
But noooooooo Rurik had to be a retard and run across a mountaint infested with enemy.

The Great Wall. Pointless to just run out to confirm the Charr and there and then hauling ass back to say "Uh....ya they are still there and infact they are right behind me". GG

Agree, would be nice to change the objective as "Resist to Charr's assault while reinforcements are coming : xx minutes xx seconds remaining", and not a stupid assault like THK.

Tihark Orchards. Let's go through all these bullshit to gain the princes' audience!
*Out drink this guy for liver failure* *Duel a drunken necromancer actor to catch some disease* *Murder some sketchy lady* *Duel a mime until all my limbs fall off from utter exhaustion*
Me: Hey princes, help us against Varesh?
Princes: Nah, ho.

That's exactly what I said. Save a few uppity horses from the glue factory. Not worth the time, effort, or risk.

If no one is to bring you to the Gates of Desolation and help tracking Palawa, then you'll be lost and the plot won't go on.
Befriending the Centaurs was key for success.
Hm... the three Crystal Desert and Nahpui quarter.
They were worthless.
Come on, Prophecies characters have to work hard.
Factons have just to kill some chicken and inflatable christmas decorations.
But Elonians have just to kill some bugs!
Come on! I killed thousands of Jade Beetles and got nothing!

You don't need to be a genius to know where Joko would go. Any logic would dictate that he would return to the desolation to regain control of his former empire. Just set up a blockade or an ambush party and wait for him. Or don't be stupid enough to let him go in the first place.

All missions are worth it. The longer I get to play, the better.
But if I had to pick one, and one only... that would be the Prophecies mission Borlis Pass that Alexandra-Sweet had mentioned. I actually liked being in Ascalon...

I actually found GoM pretty fun. But I don't think I would've been as successful if I didn't have my flag/unflag keys bound to Z and X.
Sometimes it actually helps to be an RTS clickfreak.

Glint: "You have ascended, the gods have noticed you. You truly are the hero of the Flameseeker prophesies!"
Hero: "Good. Send me to where that bastard is and I'll save the world!"
Glint: "No, first you have to play simon says and beat me in a fight. To prove your worth"
Hero: "Oh, so the Gods think I'm worthy, but you're not convinced, you arrogant overgrown iguana?!"
Glint: "Come to my lair."
Hero: "Eff that. WTB Run to THK!"

All the missions after reaching Lions Arch. Should of just relaxed and stayed in the new Ascalon settlement which was the reason for going there in the first place =(. If some chosen people got kidnapped thats the white mantles problem !

Ughhhh, Eternal Grove.
You finish the mission but it feels so unrewarding.
